The Rules of the Chatbox

Here in the Poke League, we have created an area for players to relax and chat small talk. This is the Chatbox. Here, you can have live conversations with other players. While the rules here are more relaxed, there are still rules. Chatbox Mods (members with a "@" next to their name in the chatbox) are responsible for apprehending rulebreakers.

1. Spamming- The whole point of the Chatbox is to have a conversation in which you can say "yep, yeah, lol, uh huh" and all that fun stuff. There's no such thing as double posting and one-wording here, but there are still spamming rules here.
A. Advertising- Do not advertise in the Chatbox. Advertising is annoying spam, and no one likes it. Hence, don't do it.
B. Chat Flooding- This is repeatedly posting absolute nonsense (like random characters) to fill, or flood, the screen. This type of spam is absolutely annoying, and will not be tolerated.
C. Smiley Abuse- Lot more leniently enforced than in the forums, but refrain from building up 3 lines of smilies.

2. Derogatory Conduct- As with the Forums, deragatory comments, flaming, and downright insults will not be tolerated in the Chatbox. People are here to have a good time, not to listen to someone flame everyone. No insults when it comes to race, gneder, or ability, please. In fact, no insults at all.

3. Inappropriate Conduct- There will be a young set of members on this site, and therefore, age-innapropriate conduct will not be tolerated. For example-
A. Profanity- Big no-no. Even with a filter, there are a million different ways to say a curse word. Don't do it.
B. Non-Profane Comments- Just because it has no curse words doesn't make it clean. If the message is dirty, then the words are equally as dirty.

4. Real World Information- The Internet is a marvelous place. It is also dangerous. We try to create a friendly, safe environment here, but part of it is your job. Do not press for personal information from ANYONE. If you ask once, it is up to the other person to decide how to answer. Pressing for answers is crossing a thin line. Don't do it.

Most importantly, have fun in the Chatbox! If you really want to have a profound discussion, I suggestusing the forum, but small talk on the Chatbox is good, too.
